Ford, the auto manufacturer whose vehicles include Microsoft’s SYNC technology, is offering two new features that aim to address the problem of distracted driving. First up: a do-not-disturb button that will block incoming text messages and phone calls from the paired Bluetooth phone, but will still allow drivers to make voice-assisted outgoing calls or connect to emergency assistance via the updated 911 Assist functionality. Well we went to the fishin’ tournament this morning. Bright and early. Started at 8am.
Sky was looking pretty dark and unfortunately as soon as we started, it started to rain. Tori was the first one to catch a fish. A 4” bluegill. We were so excited I didn’t even get a picture of it.
2 other kids caught a couple of pretty good size bass. After about an hour or so of getting some pretty good bites, we got word breakfast was done at the house so we decided to call it a day. It was a lot of fun and we hope they do it again next year.
Washington (CNN) — President Barack Obama will deploy up to 1,200 more National Guard troops to the U.S. border with Mexico, an administration official told CNN on Tuesday.
While this number is a mere pittance compared to what is needed there, what I find most comical in this story is the Mexican Embassy’s statement at the end:
The Mexican Embassy issued a statement later Tuesday saying the additional National Guard troops should help prevent the illegal flow of weapons and cash into Mexico. It also said Mexico "expects that National Guard personnel will strengthen U.S. operations in the fight against transnational organized crime that operates on both sides of our common border and that it will not, in accordance to its legal obligations, conduct activities directly linked to the enforcement of immigration laws."
